Good news from SCOTUS!
I am happy to announce that the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) case we have been praying about is a victory for Pregnancy Resource Centers!
SCOTUS ruled 5-4 that the California law requiring PRCs to post signage promoting state-sponsored abortions services violates freedom of speech. This would compel PRCs to advocate for abortion, which goes against our core convictions and the essence of our mission.
PRCs are among the few voices left in our country offering alternatives to abortion, yet the abortion industry has made it one of their priorities to silence us. Today’s SCOTUS decision is a blow against their totalitarian agenda.
We rejoice that we will continue to exercise the freedom to provide alternatives to abortion to thousands of women facing unplanned pregnancies in our community with accurate and compassionate services within our scope of care.
As with most cases, the implications and applications of this decision will be explored in the coming week. Stay tuned as we learn what this might mean for First Image moving forward.
