Why is this important?
The conversation around abortion, both inside and outside the church, is often so polarized that we’re left picking from extreme perspectives, with no room between. And even when we do have an opinion, it seems like the only way forward is to fight about it, or to stay silent.
We need a better way.
Worship & Learn is an evening event for young adults to gather with a willingness to step into the messiness of the conversation, exploring how our generation can engage in real conversations around abortion. By following the command of Jesus to love our neighbors, we will practice listening for the sake of understanding and welcoming the Holy Spirit into our processing and perspective around this complex topic. We will be invited to think deeply about our convictions, and to ask God “What do You want from me when it comes to this conversation?”
